Version of libreoffice: 6.4.7.2

After updating gtk+ from version 3.24.24-r1 to version 3.24.26, auto correct stopped working. Downgrading gtk+ to the old version (removed from portage) solved the issue.

Steps to reproduce:

Open LibreOffice. Type TEst and press space.
Expected behavior: TEst automatically changes to Test
Bug: Nothing happens. Sometimes pressing enter forces correction.

The same applies to other auto correct replacements. Furthermore, sometimes switching from/to italic behaves unpredictable (UI shows italic active, but next key disables it).

According to gentoo forum, this bug seems to apply to GTK desktop environments and also to 7.x versions of LibreOffice: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-8606937.html

Workaround: Downgrade gtk+ to 3.24.24-r1 (all other packages remain unchanged). This removes all issues described.

Update:

Just tried ~amd64

gtk+ 3.24.29 solves the issue.

Therefore, the problem is the current stable version of gtk+ (3.24.26).

Dear bug wrangler, this problem is not for LibreOffice maintainers to solve then.

Closing this since x11-libs/gtk+-3.24.29 was stabilised on all LO stable arches.
