Description Johannes Ballé 2005-01-20 06:42:51 UTC
Hello!

Here's my first stab at two new packages, nesc and tinyos. nesc is a modification of C for embedded systems. The nesc package contains the reference compiler based on gcc. The tinyos package consists of some tools and the operating system sources for embedded devices.

The tinyos package also contains some tools which require Java, but I have not managed to compile them using Blackdown. So these are still missing, but as far as I know, they are not used for compiling, only for connecting to embedded devices and simulating devices on the host computer, so the main functionality is there.

Basically, I don't expect the packages to go into portage yet, although they should theoretically work. But maybe someone will see the ebuilds here and find them useful.

- one app, one request
- attach only the ebuild _in_plain_text_ (and patches, if necessary)
- search before, there're ~2500 packages waiting for inclusion, so it's likely to become a dupe
- read http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/devrel/handbook/handbook.xml?part=2&chap=3

thanks :)
