When the LD environment variable is set (no matter if to a correct value or gibberish), the build system seems to generate broken Makefiles.

Specifically, the Makefile lacks the libtool invocation to create libspice-server.so.1.14.0 (and potentially others), which soon after causes the build to fail due to
> /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/11.1.0/../../../../x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: cannot find ../../server/.libs/libspice-server.so: No such file or directory
