Description Petr Novak 2005-01-19 03:10:53 UTC
Pages at http://packages.gentoo.org declare iso-8859-1 charset in their headers, but include unicode ChangeLog. If the ChangeLogs contain international characters (such as the one in URL above), they are displayed garbled.

Reproducible: Always

Will need to convert the site to Unicode, once I understand Unicode and Python a bit better.

I'm closing this but, but I have a feeling it will come up again. A bit of history: packages.gentoo.org use to report UTF8, but there was a bug reported because not everything was unicode. Now most of the Changelogs are unicode, but not all of them are. Furthermore I'm not sure that all the .ebuilds are UTF8. But it seems like "most" things work now with unicode.
