I've heard I'm not the only one having problems with gtk and gcc. I'm really unsure of what to do to fix this as I can't find anywhere that might make it think I've got gcc 3.3.4. please run /sbin/fix_libtool_files.sh 3.3.4 and re-open if it does not fix the problem
