I've set also the server to be a "Full Gentoo Source Mirror" I try to rsync with ftp.ussg.iu.edu::gentoo-distfiles (as said on http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/source_mirrors.xml ) I've already get around 30 Go, but now, when I try to connect, there's an error : rsync: failed to connect to ftp.ussg.iu.edu: Connection refused (111) Shall I have access on it ? Hi, I change our configuration, from now, we are syncing with : rsync://rsync1.us.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage evry 30 minutes I've disabled it before as we can't access : @ERROR: access denied to gentoo-portage from unknown (62.39.106.91) (62.39.106.91 is our Firewall) And for distfiles : rsync://ftp.ussg.iu.edu::gentoo-distfiles evry 4 hours Try GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://gentoo.modulix.net/gentoo/" and give me news about it. Ivan, You wont have access to the private mirror (rsync1.us) until I add you to the ACL. I need to make sure you can sync correctly to other mirrors before i add you there. as for the distfiles mirror, it is very out of sync. I rebuild all the repository (still in progress) and syncing now from : 1) ftp.ussg.iu.edu::gentoo-distfiles (evry 4 hours) for http://gentoo.modulix.net/gentoo/ 2) rsync://rsync.fr.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage (evry 30 min) for rsync://gentoo.modulix.net/gentoo-portage As you give access to our server, I'll change it back to sync (2) with rsync://rsync1.us.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage Thank's for all.
