https://blogs.gentoo.org/ago/2020/07/04/gentoo-tinderbox/ Issue: net-vpn/riseup-vpn-0.21.2 calls ar directly. Discovered on: amd64 (internal ref: guru_ci) NOTE: As per QA policy, toolchain tools must not be called directly because they can cause issue in cross-compiling and because is not possible use a different AR implementation (like llvm-ar). To reproduce, please use sys-devel/gcc-config[-native-symlinks], sys-devel/binutils-config[-native-symlinks] and set the AR variable to x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-ar.

Possible context of error(s): 0xacab.org/leap/bitmask-vpn/pkg/config/version: cannot find module providing package 0xacab.org/leap/bitmask-vpn/pkg/config/version: module 0xacab.org/leap/bitmask-vpn/pkg/config/version: reading file:///var/tmp/portage/net-vpn/riseup-vpn-0.21.2/temp/go-proxy/0xacab.org/leap/bitmask-vpn/pkg/config/version/@v/list: no such file or directory
It seems to me that this is related to something with go itself rather than in this specific package, or am I mistaken? /usr/lib/go/pkg/tool/linux_amd64/link: running ar failed: exec: "ar": executable file not found in $PATH
