The lm-sensors ebuild filters the -fPIC compiler flag on all platforms except AMD64, which causes it to not run under a hardened kernel with PAX turned on. Removing the filter allowed it to run and did not seem to cause any problems.

Seemant, the ChangeLog says you added the filter a long long time ago; can you remember what this was needed for by any chance? If you can't I guess then we can just remove the -fPIC filter...
