Description Daniel Kerwin 2005-01-17 05:05:59 UTC
After emerging bzip2 i found out it doesn't get added to world. After a short research i found out that a lot of packages i emerged earlier didnt't show up in world. This is really bad, because we use world to keep our server on a common standard. This happens on my workstation too for packages like gtk+.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Emerge bzip2
2. Look in /var/lib/portage/world
3.

Actual Results:
bzip2 can't be found in /var/lib/portage/world

Expected Results:
bzip should be found in /var/lib/portage/world

things like bzip are already part of system, they dont need to be explicitly added to world (since system is implied in world)

as for 'gtk+', that would only have been added to world if you did `emerge gtk+`

re-open if you have a better/valid example
