I can see in the ebuild : SRC_URI="http://www.xfce.org/archive/xfce-4.2.0/src/${MY_P}.tar.bz2 mirror://gentoo/${MY_P}.tar.bz2" http://www.xfce.org/archive/xfce-4.2.0/src/${MY_P}.tar.bz2 doesnt exists, but there is http://www.xfce.org/archive/xfce-4.2.0/src/${MY_P}.tar.gz instead ! Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
I ran into this problem too, but using your fix would try to fetch gtk-engines-xfce-2.2.5.tar.gz which is not the correct name. We have to use http://www.us.xfce.org/archive/xfce-4.2.0/src-bz2/gtk-xfce-engine-2.2.5.tar.bz2 or http://www.us.xfce.org/archive/xfce-4.2.0/src/gtk-xfce-engine-2.2.5.tar.gz maybe someone can fix this.
Sorry for getting this wrong, your fix works fine. I edited the ebuild to use the gz file and got this: !!! No message digest entry found for file "gtk-xfce-engine-2.2.5 .tar.gz." !!! Most likely a temporary problem. Try 'emerge sync' again late r. !!! If you are certain of the authenticity of the file then you m ay type !!! the following to generate a new digest: !!! ebuild /usr/portage/category/package/package-version.ebuild digest !!! Fetch for /usr/portage/x11-themes/gtk-engines-xfce/gtk-engine s-xfce-2.2.5.ebuild failed, continuing... !!! Some fetch errors were encountered. Please see above for det ails. Instead of doing a sync, i checked out the web-cvs and the digest is missing.
my fault. I forgot the update the url with the new .bz2 fomat should be fixed
