Description Derick Eisenhardt 2005-01-16 04:15:56 UTC
Ok, first off... I went and tried installing VidaLinux 1.1. It ended up just being plain ol' Gentoo, but with a graphical stage 3 installer. Now I'm trying to re-compile alot of my components and this is where the bug comes in.

I can not emerge svgalib and I've been having to USE- it out of almost everything I install. I get this error message when it tries to emerge:

!!! ERROR: media-libs/svgalib-1.9.19-r1 failed.
!!! Function kernel-mod_configoption_builtin, Line 114, Exitcode 1
!!! kernel has not been configured yet
!!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, NOT this status message.

I don't see any new upcoming versions, nor older ones listed in portage. And there are no bugs reported (that I could find) talking about this problem. What could possibly be blocking it? I can't do an emerge world because the svgalib keeps it from happening. Please don't tell me I'm going to have to reinstall my system from scratch.....

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
Anytime I try to emerge svgalib

Actual Results:
!!! ERROR: media-libs/svgalib-1.9.19-r1 failed.
!!! Function kernel-mod_configoption_builtin, Line 114, Exitcode 1
!!! kernel has not been configured yet

Expected Results:
compiled?
