abcde hangs after the ripping process, at least it seems that way. Because it is not displaying the encoding process and a checkup in the directory for any encoded music-files proved that nothing has been created. The weird thing is that i didn't change abcde-version and only upgraded now and then by means of emerge update --world details: abcde-1.9.9-r1
can you give us any more info? Have you contacted the abcde people?
I'm sorry, but no i can't give you any more details. However at the moment of writing i don't experience this lock up anymore. Since i had portage 1.8.9-pre9 installed due to an unfornate event, i think that this hangup was also caused by the portage-system, because all i really did was get rid of the buggy portage and replace it with a good one and just use emerge update --world for getting a decent portage back.So you could say that the bug is fixed, i guess.
