Description Jeffrey Gardner (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-01-16 02:36:40 UTC
Hi,
Firefox crashes whenever I try to download a playlist file from somafm.com.
It crashes with the error:

/usr/bin/firefox: line 392: 8306 Segmentation fault $mozbin "$@"

I can select to save dronezone.pls and listen with xmms, no problem. Firefox chokes immediately on it though...

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.visit http://www.somafm.com/
2. click Listen: 128k MP3 (or any music link)
3. watch in amazement as firefox disappears

Actual Results:
firefox dies with the error:
/usr/bin/firefox: line 392: 8306 Segmentation fault $mozbin "$@"

Expected Results:
asked me what to do with a downloading file. I would have selected to open it
with xmms.

I tried it and first time it dropped out, 2nd and 3rd time Xine opened up and played it. I have seen this dropping out action a lot on Firefox and even Mozilla. Though most of the time you can go right back and it works. So not limited to just this site, not that that helps much cause not sure if it is the url code or browser.

I have tried for quite sometime to duplicate this without success. If it is
still an issue reopen bug. If you reopen please include firefox version.
