There's actually a 0.26 now. I tried to fix an ebuild but some of it's new dependencies are highly unstable. I'll submit them when I get them to compile/work.
tried to emerge it frontline is causing issues due a libxml1 vs libxml2 linking.

Well, for me always worked..Just used 0.26 and moved it....But I was the one who was submitting this (and thinking it would work for you also ;-), right ? Rogi
Well, both the 0.25 an d 0.26 ebuilds have wrong dependencies. They should depend on frontline, not autotrace. Also, frontline didn't compile for for. I'll give it another try when I have enough energy to sort it out.

Created attachment 4605 [details] new ebuilds for sodipodi, frontline and autotrace I felt like rewriting all the ebuilds from scratch, so I did. Hopefully, the dependencies are better now. Also, I updated autotrace to 0.30.8 and frontline to 0.5.3. Frontline 0.5.3 is the mnimum version required by Sodipodi, apparently. But Sodipodi 0.27 doesn't work for me. When I start it up, it says: Fatal: program compiled against libxml 1 using libxml 2 Fatal: program compiled against libxml 1 using libxml 2 ...and quits with some warnings (most likely caused by the fatal error(s)). I tried --with-gnome-xml2, --without-gnome-xml2 and free of flags. Same result whatever I try. Any ideas?
Ok, so Sodipodi works fine when built without frontline and autotrace, but with them it fails like I described. I'll let someone else figure this one out.
