Freecad compile and install, but can't be executed due a segmentation fault. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Compile and install Freecad. 2. Execute freecad. Actual Results: # freecad freecad: Relink `/usr/lib64/libsimage.so.20' with `/lib64/libm.so.6' for IFUNC symbol `cos' Segmentation fault Expected Results: Launch the freecad GUI. I've compiled Freecad on a server and distributed to other computer that have equal configuration, no problem at all with other packages.

Hi jang0, thanks for the report. To be able to report upstream, we need some more infos. Therefore, can you please try the following, or give infos? * Is the crash reproducible? When does it happen, immediately on startup? If not, can you provide the steps to reproduce it? * Can you try running freecad --log-file /tmp/fc-crash.log and upload the log file here? * Can you try running the test suite? Run freecad --run-test 0, eventually additionally adding the log-file argument, but with a different file name and upload the log file here? * If you have changed any preferences of freecad, can you reset them (backup your configuration in ~/.FreeCAD before) and try again? Menu -> Edit -> Preferences, click Reset button on the bottom left. * I noticed you have compiled with -ggdb support. Can you start freecad in a debugger and upload a backtrace when it crashes? TIA
Created attachment 698865 [details] gdb --args freecad
It crashed immediately on startup. Neither of those commands have a log output different that the abovesaid: # /tmp/fc-crash.log # freecad --run-test 0 I've compiled only freecad with --ggdb use flag, maybe due to this gdb output is incomplete.
I'm sorry, I can't reproduce the crash on my machine. From what I can read out of the strace output, the crash could as well be related to simage and/or glibc. Would you agree to rebuild these two packages with -ggdb and FEATURES=nostrip enabled and recheck with gdb, please? Thank you!
Created attachment 700029 [details] gdb --args freecad I've recompiled glibc, simage and updated the gdb output file. The information is more complete, although there're some called files that doesn't appear. I can recompile more libraries if you need. PS: sorry for the delay.
Could you please check if the issue remains with 0.19.2?
Works perfect, it'll help to improve the design process in our enterprise. Thank you!
