Actually not.
Stil persists.............
Comment 3 Andreas 2021-04-03 15:08:18 UTC
Some of these is the likely culprit

/etc/init.d/netmount:		if ! mountinfo -q $x; then
/etc/init.d/devfs:	if mountinfo -q /dev; then

Comment 4 Ionen Wolkens gentoo-dev 2021-04-04 03:32:41 UTC
Does "grep cgroup2 /proc/filesystems" return anything?

This errors specifically occurs when running "mountinfo ''" so likely due to an empty variable, and this one in /lib/rc/sh/rc-cgroup.sh is suspect:

cgroup2_set_limits()
{
        local cgroup_path
        cgroup_path="$(cgroup2_find_path)"
        mountinfo -q "${cgroup_path}"|| return 0
Comment 5 Andreas 2021-04-04 12:38:48 UTC
grep cgroup2 /proc/filesystems
nodev	cgroup2

Then again I reverted back to stable openrc.
NOT the 0.43

Plus I use "legacy" cgroup in rc.conf because i need it for lxd and docker.
Comment 7 William Hubbs gentoo-dev 2021-04-04 19:28:40 UTC
Does your system still boot with OpenRC 0.43?
If it does, pick a service and attach the output from:

rc-service foo --debug start

Thanks,

William
Comment 8 William Hubbs gentoo-dev 2021-04-04 19:48:15 UTC
If you aren't comfortable trying to boot with it, just upgrade again and
attach the output I requested in the previous comment.

Thanks much.
Comment 9 William Hubbs gentoo-dev 2021-04-04 20:25:52 UTC
I just checked all three cgroups modes, and the issue only occurs with legacy
cgroups. I don't know about lxd, but with docker, you should be fine
with the hybrid cgroups mode, which is the default setting.

I will track down this issue with legacy cgroups though.
Comment 10 William Hubbs gentoo-dev 2021-04-04 20:52:08 UTC
I have found that this message is noise. I need to look at fixing
"mountinfo -q", but it does not break your system.
Comment 11 William Hubbs gentoo-dev 2021-04-05 04:22:39 UTC
The fix I added was for cgroup2_find_path to return rather than try to
call mountinfo on an empty path. It is in this commit and in 0.43.1.
