This should work. I'm working on getting the nagios plugs as an ebuild. I'm not really sure whether I should just leave the config files as it is, or convert the m from the xxx.cfg-sample to xxx.cfg.

hi there :) tested it .. here are a few things... If user/group nagios is not created install breaks. /etc/init.d/nagios script is broken .. output follows Starting network monitor: nagios /bin/bash: -l: unrecognized option Usage: /bin/bash [GNU long option] [option] ... /bin/bash [GNU long option] [option] script-file ... GNU long options: --debug --dump-po-strings --dump-strings --help --init-file --login --noediting --noprofile --norc --posix --rcfile --restricted --verbose --version --wordexp Shell options: -irsD or -c command or -O shopt_option (invocation only) -abefhkmnptuvxBCHP or -o option No lock file found in /var/run/nagios.pid hope this helps ... any chance you can update to latest version ? henti
This ebuild is no longer needed. Someone has already put a nagios in net-analyzer with 4 child builds nagios-core, nagios-imagepack and blah blah blah... So if you need someone to maintain it, I can help. But I dun think I'll fix this ebuild at all anymore.
