The build can be fixed simply by adding 'LT_INIT' to configure.ac in ct-ng, but this may result in unexpected consequences during runtime due to the nature of being "A versatile (cross-)toolchain generator"? The values of LIBTOOL and MAKE are both saved into the installed 'ct-ng' and 'paths.sh' scripts.
slibtool_tinderbox has reproduced this issue with version 1.26.0 - Updating summary.
