before both pftp.suxx and mew gave up on the development of the pftpfxp sources, there were a number of PRET patches written for different version of the sources.

So far, I haven't been able to find a PRET patch that works with mew6.

Since this is an FTPd feature that's being incorporated in more and more distributed FTP daemons, it would be nice if someone figured out how to adapt the older patches I've attached with the current mew6 sources that I'm happy to see made it into the portage tree.

this is supposedly a patch for the mew5 edition of pftpfxp although I do not
believe it is working.

I finally got a working patch together for the mew6 sources.
Please incorporate into the ebuild.

I should mention that the gcc-3.4 patch needs to be applied before the PRET patch to avoid having to create a new gcc patch on the modified server.cc src file.
