Description Mario Scalas 2005-01-11 10:09:05 UTC
While using the xdoclet configuration in eclipse project's properties, xdoclet tags are not shown (the dialog window is displayed incorrectly, not allowing the user to select any item from the cut-off listbox).
(The xdoclet panel in the project properties is will show automatically when creating when J2EE projects using the jboss-ide 1.4.0)

A brief google search reveals this as common bug related to gtk+-2.4.13:
- http://www.myeclipseide.com/PNphpBB2+file-viewtopic-t-4519.html
- http://www.myeclipseide.com/PNphpBB2+file-viewtopic-t-4619.html

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a new J2EE 1.4 project and open the project properties dialog
2.Select XDoclet sub-dialog and click "ADD", let's call the configuration EJB
3.Now add a new doclet to EJB by right-clicking in the bottom-left listbox (initially empty)
4.A new dialog will show, asking to select the xdoclet from a list
Actual Results:
The dialog shows only OK and CANCEL buttons, but no listbox widget: you can
see, and click on it with some mouse-cursor-dexterity, a thin line of pixels:
all that is displayed of the listbox widget we need :-|

Expected Results:
The dialog should show the listbox too, letting me to select the wanted
xdoclet

KDE 3.3.2, eclipse-3.0.1 (from binary release), jboss-ide 1.4.0 (downloadable
from jboss.org)

- gtk+-2.4.9-r2 (currently in portage) works fine
- gtk+-2.4.14 does not (behaves as just bad as 2.4.13)

If you can find an example of a problem like this in the Eclipse SDK, please report
it upstream in the eclipse bug tracker:
