The upstream maintainer says this is a bug in guile, and supplies some data that may be helpful.  Stack smash protection is set off by this, so it's horribly broken and doesn't work at all.

The glame author has attached a patch to the bug tracker given in the original bug.  I'd test it, but I'm having trouble compiling guile, a la #73920.  Going with guile 1.6.7 as recommended.


Oddly after this I can't reproduce the bug.  I haven't tested the patch to glame, though it may still deserve a look; it may have been a bug triggering a guile bug, or something.  *shrug*  I'm not a source code auditor.

Upstream closed the bug as INVALID, we shall do the same.

Please re-open when this issue can be re-produced.
