Description Peter Rosenblum 2005-01-09 04:25:05 UTC
Please add "~amd64" to the KEYWORDS for net-wireless/madwifi-driver-0.1_pre20050107

One important thing to note.... at one step during the install process, an attempt is made to 'uudecode' a file. This will fail unless a user has a uudecoder installed. I was able to manually decode this file with app-text/uudeview and then resume the compile.

Reproducible: Always

Its not in unstable in x86 because we wait for a linux-mod.eclass fix, so that it will also work with modutils instead of only module-init-tools .. I think amd64 is mainly 2.6 so it can go unstable there.

uudecode: app-arch/sharutils is missing as dep, should be added when marking ~amd64 please.
Comment 2 Stefan Schweizer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-01-09 04:41:43 UTC
Can you please also test the latest madwifi-tools?
Comment 3 solar (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-01-09 05:05:17 UTC
There is already a depend here.

qpkg  -f `which uudecode`
app-arch/sharutils *

solar@simple madwifi-driver $ grep ^DEPEND madwifi-driver-0.1_pre20050107.ebuild
DEPEND="app-arch/sharutils"

I think we can keep that tracked here.
Comment 7 solar (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-01-10 09:00:14 UTC
madwifi-driver & -tools 20050107 are in and both marked ~amd64 ~x86
