While doing a "emerge -u openoffice" I get always the same error: Preprocessor startline: rscpp @/var/tmp/portage/openoffice-1.1.3/temp/fileFamxZK rscpp: symbol lookup error: /var/tmp/portage/openoffice-1.1.3/work/OOo_1.1.3_src/solver/645/unxlngi4.pro/lib/libstlport_gcc.so: undefined symbol: pthread_getspecific The complete error output is attached along with my emerge --info. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge -u openoffice Actual Results: The usual compilation steps start and after a while I get the mentioned error message. Expected Results: A clean compilation and installation of OpenOffice-1.1.3-r1 package.
Created attachment 48004 [details] Output for my emerge --info
Created attachment 48005 [details] OpenOffice 1.1.3-r1 error output This is the actual output. Please note that the blank lines in the middle of the file are part of the real output of the error!
Could you please just copy & paste the output of emerge info and the relevant part of the build log, in this form my Firefox believes these are binaries ;)
I'm not sure this will help much because of line wrapping. This is the final part of the emerge process. ----| begin |---- Preprocessor commandline: -I. -I. -I. -I../inc -I../../inc -I../../unx/inc -I../../unxlngi4.pro/inc -I. -I/var/tmp/portage/openoffice-1.1.3/work/OOo_1.1.3_src/solver/645/unxlngi4.pro/inc/stl -I/var/tmp/portage/openoffice-1.1.3/work/OOo_1.1.3_src/solver/645/unxlngi4.pro/inc/external -I/var/tmp/portage/openoffice-1.1.3/work/OOo_1.1.3_src/solver/645/unxlngi4.pro/inc -I/var/tmp/portage/openoffice-1.1.3/work/OOo_1.1.3_src/solenv/unxlngi4/inc -I/var/tmp/portage/openoffice-1.1.3/work/OOo_1.1.3_src/solenv/inc -I/var/tmp/portage/openoffice-1.1.3/work/OOo_1.1.3_src/res -I/var/tmp/portage/openoffice-1.1.3/work/OOo_1.1.3_src/solver/645/unxlngi4.pro/inc/stl -I/var/tmp/portage/openoffice-1.1.3/work/OOo_1.1.3_src/solenv/inc/Xp31 -I/opt/blackdown-jdk-1.4.2.01/include -I/opt/blackdown-jdk-1.4.2.01/include/linux -I/opt/blackdown-jdk-1.4.2.01/include/native_threads/include -I/usr/X11R6/include -I. -I../../res -I. -DUNX -DVCL -DGCC -DC300 -DSUPD=645 -DSOLAR_JAVA -DPRODUCT -DPRODUCT_FULL -DNDEBUG -DOSL_DEBUG_LEVEL=0 -DUPDVER="645" -DUPDVER="645" dbwizres.src /var/tmp/portage/openoffice-1.1.3/temp/fileVe4Mxt Preprocessor startline: rscpp @/var/tmp/portage/openoffice-1.1.3/temp/fileFamxZK rscpp: symbol lookup error: /var/tmp/portage/openoffice-1.1.3/work/OOo_1.1.3_src/solver/645/unxlngi4.pro/lib/libstlport_gcc.so: undefined symbol: pthread_getspecific Error starting preprocessor dmake: Error code 1, while making '../../unxlngi4.pro/srs/dbwizres.srs' ---* TG_SLO.MK *--- dmake: Error code 255, while making 'SRC2' ---* TG_SLO.MK *--- ERROR: Error 65280 occurred while making /var/tmp/portage/openoffice-1.1.3/work/OOo_1.1.3_src/wizards/source/formwizard !!! I've just switched to GCC-3.3.5 and OpenOffice 1.1.4. Everything worked well. I cannot say whether it's becasue of GCC or Openoffice version bump because I did both updates at once. The OO compilation took a lot of time and I could not wait all those hours. My emerge --info output now looks like this: Portage 2.0.51-r3 (default-linux/x86/2004.0, gcc-3.3.5, glibc-2.3.4.20040808-r1, 2.6.10-gentoo-r4 i686) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.10-gentoo-r4 i686 Mobile Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.06GHz Gentoo Base System version 1.4.16 Autoconf: sys-devel/autoconf-2.59-r5 Automake: sys-devel/automake-1.8.5-r1 Binutils: sys-devel/binutils-2.15.92.0.2-r1 Headers: sys-kernel/linux26-headers-2.6.8.1-r2 Libtools: sys-devel/libtool-1.5.2-r7 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CFLAGS="-O3 -march=pentium4 -fomit-frame-pointer -pipe" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" COMPILER="" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3.2/share/config /usr/kde/3.3/env /usr/kde/3.3/share/config /usr/kde/3.3/shutdown /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/share/config /var/bind /var/qmail/alias /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-O3 -march=pentium4 -fomit-frame-pointer -pipe" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoaddcvs autoconfig ccache distlocks sandbox sfperms" GENTOO_MIRRORS="ftp:///ftp-stud.fht-esslingen.de/pub/Mirrors/gentoo/ ftp://mirrors.sec.informatik.tu-darmstadt.de/gentoo/ http://mirrors.sec.informatik.tu-darmstadt.de/gentoo/ http://ftp.lug.ro/gentoo/ http://ftp.ntua.gr/pub/linux/gentoo/" MAKEOPTS="-j2" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="x86 X Xaw3d acl acpi arts avi berkdb bitmap-fonts cdr crypt cups curl dvd dvdr encode fam fastcgi fbcon fftw flac flash foomaticdb fortran gcj gd gdbm gif gphoto2 gpm gps gstreamer gtk2 hardened imagemagick imap imlib innodb ipv6 jack java jpeg junit kde lcms ldap lesstif libg++ libwww lirc mad maildir mikmod mmx motif mozilla mpeg mpi mysql ncurses nls oggvorbis opengl oss pam pdapdflib perl png postgres python qt quicktime readline samba sdl slang slp speex spell sse ssl svga tcltk tcpd tiff truetype usb wmf xml xml2 xmms xosd xv zlib linguas_it linguas_en" Please let me know if the problem can be closed or not.
