Description Sam Smith 2005-01-07 13:05:06 UTC
When trying to manage an image collection using gtksee 0.6.0_beta1, I tried to rename several files using the edit-->rename menu option and the ctrl-r shortcut. In both cases, I was limited to a filename of 10 characters in length.

even dos did better than that!

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. have image
2. attempt to rename
3. type in a long file name

Actual Results:
would not take input beyond 10 characters (including period, etc)

Expected Results:
let me use long filenames

yeah, don't use gtksee, use gqview. It's much nicer.

I'm going to mark this bug UPSTREAM since it's really a limit placed on the interface by the upstream developer. Since I can't get ahold of them, I imagine that soon I'll just remove gtksee from portage. It doesn't seem to be under development anymore.
