Looks like yoswink rushed things a bit here :-) {index,list,overview}.xml should reference "/doc/es/metadoc.xml", not the /en/ one metadoc.xml should define /es/ as the language and reference the main /en/ file: <metadoc lang="es" parent="/doc/en/metadoc.xml"> <file> elements that refer to a Spanish file should use /doc/es/ Untranslated files can be listed (path *must* be /doc/en, paths to non-existing files will break the page) or not, you choose. You can have a look at the /it/ /zh_tw/ or /fr/ ones. Metadoc is documented at http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/gdp/doc/metadoc-guide.xml
