When I emerge xfree or xorg, a message should be displayed informing the user of the various configuration guides available from the Gentoo Doc Project and their URLs. I think the following docs should be referenced:

The X Server Configuration HOWTO (http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/xorg-config.xml)
Gentoo Linux nVidia Guide (http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/nvidia-guide.xml)
Gentoo Linux ATi FAQ (http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/ati-faq.xml)
Gentoo Desktop Documentation Resources (http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/index.xml?catid=desktop)

This would help new users figure out how to setup X and it's related packages on their own. This would reduce the number of repetitive questions about configuring X asked on the forums and irc.
