Description Lars Geiger 2005-01-06 13:01:38 UTC
Attached you'll find an ebuild for updatedd-2.3. From the homepage of updatedd:

"Updatedd is a client to update a dynamic dns record. It supports web-based ip-detection, ip-caching and configuration files with c-like syntax.
Supported Services: changeip.com, dyndns.org, eurodyndns.org, ovh.net, no-ip.org, ods.org, hn.org, regfish.com, tzo.com".

I suggest putting it into the net-dns category as this is also the category of other dynamic dns clients.

Added.

Points to note for next time:

patching - you were on the right track adding the bin dir in the sed command. A better solution (as has been done) is to add DESTDIR options to the install make target so that make DESTDIR=${D} install will work.
Optimisation - this package used default CFLAGS of -O2 that is discouraged cause it is gentoo policy to attempt to use the users CFLAGS as close as possible
econf/emake is the default for src_compile so it can be omitted.

Suggested improvement - initscript.

Other than that - good ebuild

AMD64 people - can you keyword amd64 at your convience as Lars has it working on amd64.
