I didn't find the files in any opera servers, so I just used one of the mirrors (when the file gets into gentoo mirros it won't be a problem I guess). Couldn't find a Amd64 binary, so I removed that. :-(

7.54u2 is now in portage, but i currently have no machine to test opera 8 on
I'm not sure if this is the ebuild I've been using, can't remember where I got it from but it's been working pretty well. It does crash occasionally but that's to be expected from a beta. It's certainly stable enough for general use. I'm about to grab beta 2.
...or I would grab beta 2 if it was available. The web site says it is but it still gives me beta 1. Oh well. It'll probably be ready soon.
