Using 2005.3 minimal alpha CD From SRM, I run "boot dqb0 -flags 0" and aboot loads properly but it fails to load the kernel and drops to an interactive prompt. The /etc/aboot.conf on the CD has the following in it: 0:boot/gentoo initrd=/boot/gentoo.igz root=/dev/ram0 init=/linuxrc looptype=zisofs loop=/zisofs cdroot Unfortunately, neither /boot/gentoo nor /boot/gentoo.igz exist on the CD! The line should read: 0:boot/linux-2.4.27 initrd=/boot/initrd-2.4.27 root=/dev/ram0 init=/linuxrc looptype=zisofs loop=/zisofs cdroot when entered manually, that booted cleanly... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.boot LX164 2.load aboot with "boot dqb0" where dqb0 is my cdrom device 3.see failure Actual Results: aboot reports that /boot/gentoo does not exist and drops to the interactive prompt. Expected Results: a booted CD.
2005.3? I'm going to assume you mean the 2004.3 minimal CD. This has already been resolved, as there was a 2004.3-r1 minimal (and universal) CD released for Alpha. You can find the new CD under /releases on your favorite mirror.
