Last alpha livecd w/ promise ide-controller support was 2004.0, and now that seems to be removed from mirrors, there's no (easy) way to install Gentoo to my system (add-on promise controller, only /boot -disk is connected to intergrated CMD646). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Insert livecd 2. b dkb 3. wonder where is the rest of the hdd's. Actual Results: fdisk don't see other harddisks than what is attached to the integrated CMD -controller Expected Results: Find harddisks that is attached to the add-on promise -controller.
Check /releases/historical on your local mirror... Adding alpha@gentoo.org to C so they can investigate adding this back into 2005.0's release.
i did check 5 closest mirrors, 2004.0 wasn't in any of them. I found that w/ google, but not from official mirror...
Have you tried the 2005.1 livecd?
