when locale is set to ru_RU.utf8 ,  russian characters  input in nano-1.3.5 is broken

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.I created nano-cvs ebuild
2.mkdir /usr/local/portage/app-editors/nano-cvs and copy into nano-cvs nano-cvs-1.3.5.ebuild
3.then emerge --digest nano-cvs-1.3.5.ebuild 

Actual Results:  
I created nano-cvs ebuild , then tried it and now nano-1.3.5-cvs works perfectly
with ru_RU.UTF8 locale .

UTF-8 support should be in the next release of nano; till then, I'd say it's not worth adding a nano-cvs ebuild to the tree.

this is a known issue upstream, it's already been talked about on the mailing list

if you can split off a *small* patch to apply to 1.3.5, i'll add it

i'm not going to be adding a nano-cvs ebuild though
