The current CVS has amd64 asm in it, which result in about 120% speed improvment: one should really use it !!! (the current mplayer pre6 also have the "old" ffmpeg)

I don't really work with cvs in that aspect.. when I get to the next version, I'll re-open this to try and take advantage of amd64 optimizations.
