I've released a port of xmmsfind, called Beepfind. I made an ebuild using the name bmp-find to stick with the current trend already in portage. Would it be better to stick with the real package name beepfind? I can go ahead and commit it to portage, but I need to know if bmp-find is indeed the name that should be used.

Not all packages have the bmp- namescheme, we do have modplugbmp. But I'd say beepfind and bmp-find are not far off, and bmp-find would be the best choice. You can go ahead and add this, then close the bug :) It is no longer necessary to do a version-specific DEPEND on beep-media-player (which you may have seen me do), the older versions with plugin issues are no longer in the tree.
Ok, I added it to portage. Although I forgot about taking out the version in the depend when I commited it. it's not huring anythig so I guess that can stay for now.
