Can someone please update the version of eclipse to the latest? I see the website (www.eclipse.org) says the latest and greatest is 2.0.1 (as of 8/30/2002), which has many bug fixes. Thanks! Gentoo rocks!

I've recently installed eclipse-platform-bin-2.02 and eclipse-jdt-bin-2.0.0 and found that they were partially broken. Eclipse hangs when a progress bar dialog should disappear (progress has reached 100%). This error has been confirmed by some people using Gentoo (see http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=29586), and by people using other distros. Some bugs on this issue was opened at eclipse.org (http://dev.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=29001 and http://dev.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=29622). After testing on my system, it appears the 2.1 M4 release resolves this issue. I havn't tested the 2.1.pre4 ebuilds attached with this bug (as I rolled my own before discovering these) but the changes appear small and reasonable enough. As a result of the issue mentioned above, Eclipse 2.0.2 isn't usable for me. I would therefore urge you to add the 2.1.pre4 ebuilds to portage.
added the M4 SDK...
the eclipse SDK build M5 is out, could you please update the ebuilds ?

Created attachment 10166 [details] eclipse-SDK-2.1.ebuild To match the existing SDK versioning, this file should be called eclipse-SDK-20030327.ebuild. The only problem with naming it with the version number is that it won't automatically upgrade, right? This is also a binary package, so in theory should end in -bin.
This bug got too old, so closing it since all ebuilds are in portage.
