While trying to emerge the latest version of icinga2, it fails to link. I've also tried to install version 9999 but it fails with the same error. Just to check, I also installed it on another Gentoo machine but there it compiled without a problem. I don't see a clear reason why, just that it exited with status 1 so I can't figure out why it's a problem. Hmm, the log doesn't make it fully apparent but I have suspicion ran out of ram during the linking process.
That's a good suggestion. I do build on a tmpfs and it can get fairly large. I'll try a build on the regular FS and see if it passes.
Building on a real disk solves the memory issue and allows it to compile. Thanks!
