The 2.3.0 version had issues with the save game format. The new version should be updated ASAP (according to the tome site). Unfortunnaly it breaks compatibility with old versions save games.

I would also suggest a change on the ebuild to use USE flags in order to compile or not the curses and the X11 client. It should also have the option to compile the gtk and gtk2 clients.

This is a proposed ebuild for the version 2.3.1 .
files/2.3.0-gentoo-paths.patch should be copied to 
files/2.3.1-gentoo-paths.patch . It is working fine on my system.

don't even think about adding a -j1 to the make line.

bumped it for the save game fix.  Please open a separate enhancement bug for the other client stuff.  leave the parallel make hack alone though please.
