In my eyes it's not a good idea to add that utility to portage.  Users should go onto the official homepage and read the disclaimer.  This thing could probably break more than it may be useful.

That means? 

a) You want fetch restrictions, i.e. the user must read the instructions and download the files manually?
or
b) Not adding the whole thing?

In my opinion there are much more programs out that could harm, infect or distroy someone system. My intension was to give the owner of PLEXTOR devices the possiblity to install pxupdate. No problem with leaving it out of portage. Furthermore you could delete this thread...
