Description Cal Evans 2002-09-07 11:25:48 UTC 
instead of rsync downloading all files and ebuilds for each package in portage.
 Would it be possible to have it simply create a directory tree for each package
in portage.  Then emerge <packageName> would first rsync the latest and greatest
set of files for that ebuild and THEN emerge it.

This would save bandwidth overall and speed up the emerge process tremendously.
(Kind of like Just-In-Time-Ebuilds)

Just an idea...

We're currently looking into this and other options.
