This looks like libgit2 itself is broken. toralf, is it reproducible? What if you rebuild libgit2, does syslog-ng build OK then?
well, it is a LibreSSL image which is now reluctant for a re-test - let's see, if the issue appears again at recent images
Please let us know and if it's not an issue any more we can proceed with stabilization.
