Hello, I would like to request to become a Trusted Contributor within the GURU project. I have been committing to the project for a couple months now and I believe I have been beneficial fixing issues and bumping outdated packages. I currently maintain 16 packages within GURU[1], and 2 packages in the Gentoo tree[2]. I have submitted many pull requests to the tree[3], which hopefully demonstrates my willingness to contribute to Gentoo in a meaningful way. While I am not the most familliar person with Gentoo, I have reviewed many commits and keep my contributions to a standard that I believe is free from issues. In order to benefit the GURU project I have modified toralf's tinderbox[4] to support running it against the GURU overlay to find issues with emerging packages. I have been running this locally for a week now, and I have used it to find some issues. It does not currently file bugs but you can see the results of it in many of my commits such as adding missing dependencies and fixing issues like tc-direct[5]. As a hub for user generated ebuilds, I would like to help the GURU project in continuing to be a place for packaging new programs & helping users to develop their skills to a point where they may be able to contribute to the Gentoo tree. Eventually I would like to apply to become a Gentoo developer. Hopefully becoming a Trusted Contributor may be a stepping stone for that goal. Thank you for your consideration. You should be able to push to master now. Please make sure not to break stuff, especially not to cause master to diverge from dev.
