I haven't been able to get the gnome-pim programs (gnomecal and gnomecard) to start at all. When I try, the CPU is aggresively throttled, enough so that lla performance is almost halted. The errors below are output within a minute (blank/redundant lines omitted), but I haven't let the program run much longer than that to see if it actually starts (I doubt that it would). andrew:~ gnomecal Gdk-WARNING **: Missing charsets in FontSet creation Gdk-WARNING **: JISX0208.1983-0 Gdk-WARNING **: KSC5601.1987-0 Gdk-WARNING **: GB2312.1980-0 Gdk-WARNING **: JISX0201.1976-0 andrew:~ gnomecard Gdk-WARNING **: Missing charsets in FontSet creation Gdk-WARNING **: JISX0208.1983-0 Gdk-WARNING **: KSC5601.1987-0 Gdk-WARNING **: GB2312.1980-0 Gdk-WARNING **: JISX0201.1976-0 Googling only turned up a number of similar problems (they seem to revolve around fonts or encoding AFAICT), but in all my wading, I couldn't find any solutions. hm you didn't compile xorg-x11 without bitmap-fonts USE set or something?
Nope: x11-base/xorg-x11-6.8.0-r3 -3dfx -3dnow +bitmap-fonts -cjk -debug -dlloader -dmx -doc -hardened -insecure-drivers -ipv6 +mmx +nls +pam -sdk +sse -static -xprint Any other ideas?
Are you still experiencing this problem?
I'm not even using Gentoo anymore, so no. :)
