Description Dale 2020-12-21 17:10:52 UTC
It seems this server isn't responding when fetching and I can't access with a web browser either. Can someone look into it and see what the problem is?

I get the same for several packages and it has been that way for a while. The website itself works just not the Gentoo part.

P. S. I hope I filed this correctly. :-D I copied a previous bug report from a few years ago.

Can confirm - even rsync doesn't work at all...

Manual fetching just got this as a file list:

I emailed their support team <support@easynews.com> asking about the issue, and I got this email as a reply:

Hello,

We've received word that we will be turning down our mirror service. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Regards,
Easynews Support

It seems that they've shut down the mirror service silently, since I couldn't find an announcement about it anywhere on their main easynews.com domain. For now, I've just manually removed it from my own GENTOO_MIRRORS variable.

I think this has been yanked from the tree now, no?
