Bug 760648 – kde-apps/kdenlive-20.12.0: UI not using translations

kde-apps/kdenlive in version 20.12.0 does not install localizations: It appears in English even if setted for Russian language. It seems like package/ebuild does not install i18n files properly.

That seems strange, localization files is installed but they didn't worked?

Sounds like the linked upstream issue. It will have to be solved by kdenlive upstream.

I can't switch to any language. No one fully works, it changes only the some small pieces :)

As said, check out and track the linked upstream bug. There is no USE flag in Gentoo that will possibly have an influence on your problem.

Does it make a difference which of the available media-libs/mlt versions you build kdenlive against?

That's weird. I've found that LC_ALL=ru_RU.utf-8 changes language in Kdenlive proper but LANG=ru_RU.utf8 does not affect.

Fixed in kdenlive 20.12.2. If something changes I open that bug again.
