Description Jeff 2004-12-29 09:13:18 UTC
As per the manpage time adjustments >128ms should be logged which isn't happening. The only thing that gets logged is the ntp engine ready/terminating and the ntp server now valid/invalid messages. If I run it in non-daemon mode everything is logged to stderr as expected. Downgraded back to 3.6_p1-logging works.

One other thing: with the new 3.6.1_p1-r1 a permanent connection is established with my 3 ntp servers upon startup and not released until the service is stopped. This can't be right, it should only poll the server not stay connected to it the whole time the service is running. Verified w/netstat and again, 3.6_p1 work as expected here.

For me, the logging issue is fixed with an upgrade to openntpd-3.7_p1
Comment 2 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2005-08-15 20:09:12 UTC
3.7_p1 moved to stable, thanks
