I used to be able to run teamspeak client just fine. I recently upgraded a number of apps on my desktop at home, I can provide list if you want. However now when I try to run teamspeak it just dies immediately and the only output is "Killed". trapni suggested I get an strace so I'll be attaching that after saving this bug.
Created attachment 47118 [details] strace TeamSpeak I recently changed to a UTF-8 locale, so you see a lot of issues with that in the strace. Although I did the same UTF-8 switch on my work desktop and TeamSpeak launches there just fine.
Kernel issue with gentoo-dev-sources-2.6.10-r1 Reverting this patch will solve it: http://dev.gentoo.org/~dsd/gentoo-dev-sources/release-10.01/dist/1900_umem_catch.patch This patch will be dropped from next gentoo-dev-sources release
http://cvs.schmorp.de/browse/rxvt-unicode/src/rxvttoolkit.C?sortby=date&r2=1.9&r1=1.8&diff_format=u schmorp did one other change as well that we'll probably want to incorporate.
doh pasted that to wrong bug. ignore that last comment.
damn it, I actually run into the same error, with 2.6.10-r1, when running any Kylix-compiled binary-only version; When will the next release come out?
I'm sorta waiting for Linus to apply a minor security fix to his tree. If he hasn't by tomorrow, I'll apply it to ours anyway and do a new release.
Fixed in gentoo-dev-sources-2.6.10-r2
