Looks like two packages (dev-util/sysprof-common and dev-util/sysprof-capture) try to install the same file.

 * Messages for package dev-util/sysprof-common-3.38.1:

 * This package will overwrite one or more files that may belong to other
 * packages (see list below). You can use a command such as `portageq
 * owners / <filename>` to identify the installed package that owns a
 * file. If portageq reports that only one package owns a file then do
 * NOT file a bug report. A bug report is only useful if it identifies at
 * least two or more packages that are known to install the same file(s).
 * If a collision occurs and you can not explain where the file came from
 * then you should simply ignore the collision since there is not enough
 * information to determine if a real problem exists. Please do NOT file
 * a bug report at https://bugs.gentoo.org/ unless you report exactly
 * which two packages install the same file(s). See
 * https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Knowledge_Base:Blockers for tips on how
 * to solve the problem. And once again, please do NOT file a bug report
 * unless you have completely understood the above message.
 *
 * Detected file collision(s):
 *
 * 	/usr/share/dbus-1/interfaces/org.gnome.Sysprof3.Profiler.xml

 *
 * Package 'dev-util/sysprof-common-3.38.1' NOT merged due to file
 * collisions. If necessary, refer to your elog messages for the whole

Please include emerge --info and the full build.log?
Comment 2 Matt Turner gentoo-dev 2020-12-15 02:32:22 UTC
Looks like the blocker isn't good enough. Update sysprof-capture to workaround this.
Comment 3 Joshua Bird 2020-12-15 23:04:31 UTC
Seems like sysprof-capture no longer installs this, and it should instead be installed by sysprof-common

https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/commit/dev-util/sysprof-capture?id=7c1c769f789d5afe44d2f07c954c3e72681eefc5
Comment 4 Joshua Bird 2020-12-16 00:06:58 UTC
I had to --unmerge sysprof-capture and sysprof-common and re merge them as a workaround, seems to be installed now.
