Initial patch for new option tcpd
Comment 2 Mike Gardiner (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-12-28 20:00:23 UTC
We really need a configure switch from this, seeing as gnome-session will link to tcp-wrappers if they're available. That means that if someone had tcp-wrappers installed, and emerge gnome-session with USE="-tcpd", gnome-session would still link to tcp-wrappers.

So in short, we need to be able to _really_ switch this off (ie, not link to it), otherwise we have to depend on it.

Such a patch would be gladly accepted.
Comment 3 INODE64 Sistemas 2005-01-18 06:01:56 UTC
It had not put anything in forms because the possibility of selecting if does not exist to use or not it option tcpd, but if that it verifies if it exists. I have reviewed forms to verify if it would be possible to be don

Shouldn't this patch be pushed upstream?

Lets hope for 2.14 inclusion. Opened bug upstream at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=326242
Comment 9 Saleem Abdulrasool (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-04-14 15:55:50 UTC
This is included in the 2.14 ebuild ... marking as fixed.
