Description Lee Trager 2004-12-26 22:21:38 UTC
I have been waiting for an ebuild for ck-sources-2.6.10-r1 on AMD64. Currently there is one in portage but it is masked on AMD64.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge ck-sources-2.6.10-r1
Actual Results:
Calculating dependencies
!!! All ebuilds that could satisfy "ck-sources" have been masked.
!!! One of the following masked packages is required to complete your request:
- sys-kernel/ck-sources-2.4.28-r1 (masked by: missing keyword)
- sys-kernel/ck-sources-2.6.10-r1 (masked by: missing keyword)

For more information, see MASKED PACKAGES section in the emerge man page or
section 2.2 "Software Availability" in the Gentoo Handbook.

ck-sources are not supported by the amd64 team. We only support gentoo-dev-sources and hardened-dev-sources. While ck will probibly work, we won't keyword it.

2.6.9-ck3 was keyworded on AMD64, Im not sure about earilier versions because I have just recently went with the ck sources. The 2.6.10 kernel seems to work fine but im running into the nvidia bug on both the ck sources and the development-sources. Im looking into that now. The main reason I went with the ck sources is because I was seeing lag in Doom3 and the Doom3 FAQ says to go with the ck sources.
