No sooner do I finally decide that the latest gentoo-dev-sources edition of 2.6.9 is safe enough and take the plunge then they only go and decide to release 2.6.10 :) For what it's worth I just performed a very crude check to see which patches from genpatches-2.6-9.13 were still applicable against 2.6.10. Of course, lots of stuff has made it upstream but there are a few that didn't apply that looked like they just needed some trivial re-diffing. Anyway, the ones that can successfully be applied still are 1110, 1310, 1315, 1340, 1342, 1399, 2100, 2700, 4300 and 4705. Disclaimer: I've not actually run or built 2.6.10 at all yet in any capacity.
