emerging php 4.3.10 (with the -wuD flags) causes the console php upon 
execution to report the following statement:

php: error while loading shared libraries: libltdl.so.3: cannot open 
shared object file: No such file or directory

mod_php or other packages seemed not to be affected. Emerging 'libtool' 
seemed to fix this - apparently a dependency bug.

You failed to revdep-rebuild after emerging libtool.
